Jan Lange

Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors and CEO

DB broadband GmbH

Jan Lange has been CEO of DB broadband GmbH since 1 October 2020.

Lange has many years of experience in the telecommunications industry with a focus on the expansion and marketing of broadband infrastructure in Germany. Before joining Deutsche Bahn, he served as Chief Sales Officer at 1&1 Versatel, where he was responsible for the growth of one of the largest fibre optic network operators in Germany, accompanied by a significant increase in sales and earnings.

Prior to that, Lange held various management positions in sales and product management, including as Managing Director Germany at Avid Technology, General Manager SME (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) at Colt Technology, Executive Vice President Direct Sales at T-Mobile Germany and Head of Data/IP Solutions at Deutsche Telekom, where he was instrumental in the introduction of broadband internet and intranet products in the German market.

Dr. Christian Humpert

Dr. Christian Humpert has been Managing Director Operations (COO) of DB broadband since 01.03.2021.

Before joining Deutsche Bahn, Humpert held various management positions at Vodafone in Germany and abroad for more than 12 years. Most recently, he was Vice President Europe for the carrier wholesale business in Europe at Vodafone Carrier Service.

From this position, the experienced manager brings with him a pronounced internationality. The development and management of a European business unit with locations throughout Europe and also the development and implementation of infrastructure projects in Eastern Europe and Russia as well as the Black Sea region contributed to this.

The doctor of law started his career in the telecommunications sector in 2000 as in-house lawyer at Arcor AG & Co. KG. There he took on management tasks in business customer sales at an early stage. Over the years, this was followed by various management functions in marketing and in service management units in Germany.

Dr Jeschke was appointed to the Management Board of Deutsche Bahn AG on 10 November 2017 as the Board Member for Digitalisation and Technology.

With the creation of DB broadband GmbH, she became Chair of the Supervisory Board.
